CABE Space leaders programme

An intensive, three day learning programme designed specifically for green space managers to be inspired and enthused, to explore new ideas and approaches and to challenge and be challenged.

Good quality green spaces are central to successful places, places that foster healthy lifestyles, encourage active play and are socially inclusive, attractive, economically vibrant and environmentally sustainable.

Expectations for green space managers are higher than ever. Today's job not only involves day-to-day service delivery but also engaging with new policy agendas and exploring innovative approaches to community engagement, service delivery and income generation.

With the sector facing up to the realities of tightening budgets, the need for confident leadership is greater than ever. Green space managers must be able to advocate for parks as they are now while planning for how they might be in the future.

The CABE Space leaders programme gives you the chance to meet these opportunities and challenges head on.

About the leaders programme

The CABE Space leaders programme helps current and aspiring green space managers explore the issues affecting the sector and their roles.

2010 programme

The CABE Space leaders programme 2010 will be held at the Marriott Hollins Hall in Baildon near Bradford, starting after lunch on Tuesday 23 February and finishing at lunchtime on Friday 26 February 2010.
