GreenSKILL database

GreenSKILL is an online database for improving skills and training within the green space sector.

Improving career paths by creating a clear and supportive structure which encourages progression is one of the priorities in the national urban green space skills strategy, Skills to grow.

Who is GreenSKILL for?

GreenSKILL benefits staff and employers by providing a roadmap for green space skills development. It lets individuals record their skills, qualifications and continuing professional development, and allows employers to manage the skill base of their workforce.

Everyone working in parks and green spaces can use GreenSKILL to develop a skills record that could be transferable to any employer:

  • volunteers
  • those just starting work
  • career changers
  • site staff
  • senior designers and managers
  • horticulture
  • conservation
  • arboriculture
  • landscape design or management.

50% off GreenSKILL for local authorities

CABE Space are offering a 50% discount to local authorities on subscriptions to GreenSKILL until March 2009.
