Learning from San Francisco

Do you want to inspire your students with an unusual competition? The Architectural Foundation of San Francisco did just that. Its design competition for high school students has run for 40 years, with many winners going on to be successful as architects, design professionals or engineers.

Manchester’s new college and library

Students and the public both enjoy high quality facilities together, now that The Manchester College and the North City Library have united. This landmark project in Harpurhey has won a top award for its design, by Walker Simpson Architects, and is proving a source of inspiration for the local Building Schools for the Future programme.
