Design and Heritage Pennine Lancashire (DHPL) champions high quality design during the process of housing market renewal, to ensure that the area’s local heritage and distinctiveness is respected.
The pilot programme provided design advice and skills training to help the local housing pathfinder (Elevate), local authorities and developer teams commission a spatial strategy and urban characterisation for the area.
A historic environment advisor also supported built heritage, characterisation and construction skills training projects.
