Three-quarters of the region is rural so the built environment challenge is the great contrast of growth and regeneration almost side by side. 

Regional representatives

  • Meredith Evans is corporate director of environment and regeneration at Telford and Wrekin Council, and chair of the RTPI Urban Design Network.
  • Geoff Wright is head of planning at Asset and Infrastructure Management Solutions Ltd (Nuneaton), advising universities and regeneration developers.
  • Joe Holyoak is an architect and urban designer, and lectures at Birmingham School of Architecture, Birmingham City University.
