The urban design summer school is a learning initiative for professionals working in architecture, urban design and public space.

The CABE urban design summer school is an accessible, comprehensive and intensive four-day event, which draws together professionals and practitioners from across the built environment sector. It helps people develop the knowledge, skills and passion to confidently create successful urban places.
Each day of the school focuses on different stages of the design process and the different scales at which design works.
Learning includes hands-on activities such as the ‘big design project’ as well as workshops, seminars, site visits, and speakers and best practice sessions - all of which draw on the experience of innovative and inspiring practitioners across different disciplines.
The CABE urban design summer school takes place in a new location each year and draws on England's towns, cities and regions to find new design challenges.
